In this book, Dargam presents studies aimed at leveraging the uniqueness of offering ready-made patterns for readers, allowing them to engage - either opposing or agreeing - based on their intellectual or ideological stance. From this perspective, the researcher provides a critical approach in the ideology of the novel through two studies. The first is titled 'Narrative Direction in The Love in Exile by Bahaa Taher'. This study focuses on narrative direction in the novel, with the main starting point being the critical mechanism for approaching ideological aspects in the novel, where it is mentioned: 'It became clear that approaching the novel, or more methodologically, the ideology of the novel, should be associated with examining the structure and relying on an active narrative mechanism, which plays a role in nurturing and shaping ideological values.' The researcher also delves into the term 'narrative direction', which revolves around the existence of two creative patterns, a value system, and an artistic system, and their impact on planning novel construction. He also examines the term 'position', which intersects with narrative direction, highlighting agreements and differences between these terms. In the framework of action and reaction between style and architecture of construction and the ideological value system, it was found that the architecture of construction in a narrative text is connected with an ascending narrative accompanied by an open memory of the past. This construction is closely related to observing shifts between a previous past and a current present, characterized by control and dominance, reflected in character formation and transition from one pattern to another. The researcher also emphasizes the centrality of the narrative voice as a controlling pattern managing narrative elements, revealing and distorting opposing systems, and legitimizing its ideological stance.
