Dr. Muhammad Al-Hamouri is a Jordanian legal scholar and thinker born in Beit Ras, Irbid. He obtained his bachelor's and master's degrees in law from Cairo University and a diploma in comparative law from Cambridge University, UK. He served as a professor at several prestigious universities and authored numerous publications in legal and political thought and human rights.

One of his prominent works is the book "Imprisoned Freedoms between the Tyranny of Rule and the Exploitation of Religion: Origins and the Path to Liberation," published in 2017 by the Arab Studies and Publishing Foundation in Beirut. This book addresses issues of freedom of thought and intellect, the relationship between authority and religion, reveals how religion is exploited to justify political tyranny, and discusses the concept of consultation in Islam compared to the rulership philosophy and the jurists of sultans, providing visions for liberation from these situations.
