Ibn Khaldun's history, called (The Book of Lessons and the Archive of Beginnings and Events), is a significant historical reference. It is organized into an introduction and three books. The introduction discusses the virtue of historical knowledge and its methods. The first book covers civilization, the second details the Arabs, their ages, and their states from the beginning of creation to the ninth century, and the third discusses the Berbers, their news, generations, and their presence in North Africa.
