Professor Gaston Bouthoul has authored many esteemed works in sociology, in which he frequently alludes to Ibn Khaldun and his views. Among these books are some that dedicate several pages to researching Ibn Khaldun's 'Muqaddimah.' Bouthoul also penned a standalone book titled 'Ibn Khaldun, His Social Philosophy,' written in 1930. We have read it several times and found it to show great reverence for Ibn Khaldun, combined with profound thought, analysis, and a sharp eye for detail. The book exhibits a level of impartiality and moderation that is sometimes hard to find elsewhere, which compelled us to translate it into Arabic as a tribute to its author and to share the wonderful historical insights and abundant, unique social knowledge it contains. We do not feel it necessary to summarize the book in a lengthy introduction for critique and review; we believe it is better to leave the matter to the reader rather than providing our own brief and meticulous examination.
