The novel "Hussain Al-Musnajar" is the second work by Bahraini author Munira Sawar, published in 2012 by the Arab Foundation for Studies and Publishing. It tells the story of a poor young man named Hussain, who works at a local newspaper office and explores his relationships with colleagues and interactions with the surrounding society. The novel highlights the struggles of simple classes, sheds light on issues of poverty and social injustice, and shows how these individuals are accused of adopting certain ideologies or pursuing political interests while they are merely seeking to respect their humanity and live with dignity.

Munira Sawar, born in Bahrain in 1975, is a writer and translator. She studied English literature at the University of Bahrain. Her literary career began with the translation of "The Perfect Nanny" by Jo Frost in 2006, followed by her first novel "Women of Pleasure" in 2008, "Hussain Al-Musnajar" in 2012, and "Slave Girl" in 2014, which won the Katara Prize for Arabic Novel in its first session in 2015.
