This study attempts to extrapolate Western philosophies, their trends, and their perspective on human rights, and then compare them with Islam. The primary goal of the study was to arrive at principles and rules to clarify the similarities and differences with Western philosophy on the specific topic of human rights, by referencing the Universal Declaration of Human Rights.
The research follows a descriptive-analytical and historical methodology, providing a historical overview of all philosophical ideas from Greek philosophy to the present day in chronological order. An analytical approach based on objective scientific criticism was also used, analyzing ideas and philosophies from their inception for the purpose of comparing them with Arab-Islamic philosophy within a comparative study framework.
