Sheikh Nile Abdul Qadir Abu Qurun is a prominent Sudanese thinker, born in the mid-20th century in the village of Sheikh Abu Qurun in the East Nile region, founded by his grandfather Sheikh Muhammad Abu Qurun. He grew up in a religious and spiritual environment, studying the Quran in his grandfather's traditional school before joining formal education.

He graduated from the Faculty of Law at the University of Khartoum, where his research on the poet Abdullah Wadshurani won the second Al-Salama Award and was later published in a book. He joined the judiciary in 1971, advancing to become a judge in the Supreme Court. He also worked as a judicial attaché in the Presidency, contributing to the drafting of Islamic law in Sudan during President Jaafar Nimeiri's rule. He also held the position of Minister of Legal Affairs in the Sudanese government.
