What are the limits of human freedom in Islam? The rise of the phenomenon of Islamic extremism and the world's entry into an alliance to fight terrorism places the entire world, and Muslims in particular, before a cultural confrontation, especially on the issue of freedoms. The author attempts to forge another path for the issue of freedom based on combining two readings: a reading of objective reality and the problems related to human freedom, whether in the Western system or in the traditional religious system, and a reading in the name of God that stems from the dominant Qur'an, which governs all explanations, interpretations, and other sources of legislation. Although he establishes the concept of freedom from a religious standpoint, he attributes it to human creation, but not just its material creation. He addresses the fourth dimension in human creation that the Qur'an refers to, which is the spiritual dimension. Haj Hamad shows how the value of freedom is equivalent to the value of a human being. He addresses many issues related to freedom, such as the class structure of society, Islamic political organizations, and the necessity of an epistemological break with historical ideology.
