The Arab-Islamic civilizational history in Al-Andalus is rich with achievements in all fields, and documentary source material is available in varying quantities and qualities, covering all aspects of life and various arts and sciences. Furthermore, these Andalusian civilizational achievements were the fundamental starting point for modern Western civilizational development, which is why it has attracted and continues to attract the attention of researchers and scholars, both Arab and non-Arab (i.e., Orientalists). My encounter with the history and civilization of Al-Andalus occurred when I specialized in the history and civilization of the Islamic Maghreb in my postgraduate studies, particularly when I was assigned to teach the course on the economic and social history of Al-Andalus to graduate (Master's) students at the beginning of the 21st century. It is known that the history of the Maghreb's path cannot be separated from the history of Al-Andalus; without one, the other cannot be understood well and deeply, not only in the political sphere but in all scientific, intellectual, economic, and social fields.
