Throughout the years he served the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, Hisham Nazer was a constant traveler. Whenever he journeyed from one country to another, the Kingdom was the cause, and its interests were the ultimate goal. When he was a student in Egypt, and then in the United States, his country was his refuge and his destination upon graduation. Hisham Nazer spent a significant part of his life moving between ministerial portfolios, even holding two at once for a considerable period. Each time he completed a mission, his superiors saw in him the best person for the next task, entrusting him with new responsibilities until he left the government in 1995 after nearly three decades of service. Then came the assignment to be the ambassador for Saudi Arabia, the qibla of Islam, in Egypt, the heart of Arabism.
