I thought long and hard before writing this; I know it's neither a novel nor a reflection! But perhaps it brings both together. Many of us who haven't been granted the gift of speech consider it a blessing from the perspective of 'only those who lack something feel it.' However, I never felt it was a blessing for me! Maybe because I don't know what it really is? Or because when I ponder its essence, I don't see any benefit it brings me?
