Hashiyat al-Sharqawi on 'Tahrir Tanqih al-Lubab' is a commentary on the abridgment by Abi Zur'ah al-Iraqi in Shafi'i jurisprudence, titled 'Tanqih al-Lubab'. 'Tuhfat al-Tullab' is an explanation of 'Tahrir Tanqih al-Lubab', both written by the same author, Sheikh Zakariya al-Ansari. This is Sheikh al-Sharqawi's commentary on 'Tuhfat al-Tullab', in which he analyzes its terms, clarifies ambiguities, expands on the reasoning, explains the aspects of interpretation, and includes phrases from 'Minhaj al-Tullab' and its commentaries, as well as the commentary of Allamah al-Ramli on 'al-Minhaj'. Throughout, he attributes each saying to its speaker and each phrase to its original book. At the bottom of the pages, in the footnotes, we have included the report by Mr. Mustafa bin Hanafi al-Dhahabi al-Masri on Hashiyat al-Sharqawi.
