Palestine doesn't need another destruction, bloodshed, or tragedy to assert its media presence. Since its catastrophe, Palestine has been the foremost issue in Arab media, whether sincerely or as lip service, until successive Arab disasters took that spotlight. Palestine was the Arabs’ cause; it united them and prompted them to send armies for its rescue, only to lose it initially. Later, differing and disputing over it, they lost what remained. The researcher, known as an honest and skilled journalist, may be the first media researcher to conduct a well-documented and precise academic study on how the two rival channels (Al Jazeera and Al Arabiya) covered the first Israeli war on Gaza in 2008/2009. Her study offers Arab researchers a starting point for observation, assessment, and follow-up, enriching intellectual dialogue about the role of Arab satellite media and its influence on the vast changes currently occurring in the Arab region, a necessary and deserved dialogue.
