Description
Our Arab societies are described as young societies due to the high percentage of youth, which exceeds 60% of the population, while productive youth constitute about 23% of the population. This means that looking to the future necessarily requires looking at the youth first: in terms of what affects them, and secondly, in terms of their role and responsibilities. Activating the role of youth in society requires political, social, and economic participation, and training from childhood in initiative, innovation, and self-reliance to build their future with their own hands, rather than waiting for ready-made solutions and given jobs that are no longer feasible or suitable for creative young minds looking to the future.
In the era of the Fourth Industrial Revolution, youth face a major dilemma in that everything is changing very quickly. Education, work, production, economy, politics, technology, communications, science, information, and knowledge... all are changing faster than can be easily kept up with. This means it is necessary to give the youth sector appropriate attention so that the train of change does not pass us by.
