The autumn has a tale of lost leaves with the earth, and my story with love has the taste of that autumn. His love confused my time and scattered me on the pavements of cities, seeking windows of salvation. Alone in the darkness of fate, in the infertility of a thousand questions, I took a path whose soil the wind blew away, wandering on the shores of dreams, in islands with no names. There I tasted charm in a cup... and got drunk. There I danced with joy... and forgot. I returned and wept, tore my weakness and lamented. I traveled seeking certainty and tried in vain. A pain sleeps while another wakes. The night shatters into volcanoes burning my rest, stars fall suddenly, tears shred on the cheeks of dawn. I spread my wings for the light of day. The fragrance of the earth emerges and its memory scatters everywhere. Autumn dresses me in its captivating presence with the attire of longing and nostalgia, and guilt stabs me with a knife.

Rola Fares Dia was born in 1978 in Beirut, Lebanon. She holds both Lebanese and Paraguayan nationalities. She has two degrees: one in law from the Faculty of Dinamica das Cataratas University in Foz do Iguaçu, Brazil, and another in political and administrative sciences from the Lebanese University in Hadath. She has also acquired certificates in leadership science skills and emotional intelligence after training courses at the American University of Beirut. She is still pursuing her education and is currently in the master's stage in the field of international relations.
