On a textual level, the novel begins and ends with sorrow. On an eventful level, there is an experience rich with all kinds of emotions that can bring a man and a woman together. However, the narrator here seems to be trying to live a love story that appears imaginary or in a virtual world with a rebellious, untamed woman, like a mare that holds a writer within her and does not allow him to appear publicly. She withholds something and does not want to disclose it. The two characters are balanced in that each is searching for something they lack and are chasing after it. He is searching for an unknown love that passed him by chance like a specter and then disappeared, while she, like her grandmother Eve, plays the game of seduction by disappearing.

In the end, "Finally, I'm Done with You" is a novel about both women and men. It does not address a specific man or woman but is directed at all of us, perhaps contributing to understanding the meaning of true love, which Saud Al Hamad successfully crafted into a creative work of art worthy of reading.
