The body of the Pasha was placed in the automobile, and when it reached the city of Sidon where he resided, chaos erupted. The Pasha's family demanded revenge against Ibrahim's house. Amidst the commotion caused by the arrival of the body, some intervened to calm tempers. Meanwhile, the local government in Beirut dispatched twenty-five soldiers to Sidon following the unrest.
