The poetry collection "Farewell Embrace" is the first publication by the Kuwaiti poet Ghaida Al Ayoubi, released in 2013 by the Arab Studies and Publishing Institution in Beirut and Amman. It contains 40 poems across 157 pages, characterized by classical structured rhyme with modern touches in expressions and vocabulary. The collection's themes vary between love, loss, nature, and freedom, expressing the poet's emotions with sincerity and depth.
Ghaida Al Ayoubi, born in Kuwait in 1959, is the daughter of the Arabic literature dean, the poet Mahmoud Shouqi Al Ayoubi. She is nicknamed "The Poet of Life" for the optimism and hope found in her poems, despite the melancholy tone in some of her works. In addition to being a poet, she is a visual artist and thinker, having published more than 10 poetry collections, and is considered one of the prominent poetic voices in Kuwait.
