Lebanon is unique in the Mediterranean basin, characterized by the distinctiveness of its people, lending strength to civilizations as they venture globally across five continents. It serves as both a neighbor and a passage between East and West. The climate is Asian-like, yet its towering mountains are reminiscent of a cold European environment, adorned with trees that have stood for millennia and capped with pure white snow until the late spring. In this country, governance involves certain Christian influences in the East, significant due to the proximity of Jesus' birthplace in present-day occupied Palestine. Despite numerous historical changes, Lebanon remains the only Arab country maintaining openness to various civilizations and religions since ancient times, hosting Judaism, Christianity, and eventually, Islam. The church has historically endeavored to be the principal authority over the land of cedars and mountains. With the Islamic ascendancy on the Arabian Peninsula, Lebanon retained its authenticity, embracing all that benefits the nation.
