The author of the book "Events of the Hereafter" is Sheikh Abu Muhammad Saad bin Yousef bin Mahmoud Abu Aziz. The Sheikh grew up with a love for the Quran and was eager to seek Islamic knowledge. Despite facing difficult living conditions early in his life and traveling abroad for work, his resolve to pursue knowledge never wavered; he memorized the Quran and studied Tajweed. The Sheikh earned a certificate from the Institute for Preparing Preachers and won several Dawah (Islamic call) and Quran memorization competitions. The prize for one such competition was a trip for Umrah to the Sacred House, leading to his visit to Makkah and subsequent repeated visits to the holy lands. During his visits, the Sheikh makes it a point to meet with scholars, some of whom he exchanges visits with. He has met with the esteemed scholar Ibn Uthaymeen, Sheikh Al-Bassam, Sheikh Saleh Al-Luhaidan, Sheikh Abdul Salam Al-Suhaymi, and Sheikh Saleh Al-Suhaymi. He also met with many other scholars, including Sheikh Muhammad Saeed Raslan—may Allah preserve him—who profoundly influenced him with his knowledge, character, defense of the Sunnah, and rejection of fanaticism and partisanship.
