Ayyub traveled, anxiety and fear looming like gray clouds above him. This vanished when he first saw the capital: a sleeping virgin guarded by her giant brothers on all sides. He fell in love and wished she would awaken for a moment to see the color of her eyes. He asked people its name, they replied: History. He inquired about its dreams, they responded: Search for it within your heart. Suddenly, a cold breeze carrying the scent of jasmine, bread, and green grass hit him, making him smile with tears unknowingly filling his eyes.

Hani Salman Al-Qantar, a Syrian author residing in Argentina, born in 1973. He moved between Syria, Lebanon, India, Venezuela, and other countries in pursuit of an identity seeking stability. He settled in Buenos Aires a few years ago, working in journalism. He holds a BA in English Literature and is fluent in Spanish but insists on writing in his native language, striving to maintain simplicity in its expression.
