The concerns of women as a child, a young woman, a middle-aged woman, and an old woman are all present. Her presence is not detached from the society she lives in; rather, her issues blend with its issues in a clever unification that appears, for example, in "Kleptomania" and "A Bedtime Story." In other cases, the man appears as a partner, as in "Holiday Eve," or as an adversary, as in "The Divorce Cake," and in both situations, he is inseparable from the woman in reality and destiny. As language is the soul of all creativity, Wedad's concise and masterful language has given this collection an additional life, bringing it closer to the reader's intellect and emotions.
