“Edge of Light” is a trilogy spanning different times but similar locations and linked by origins and references. Love and war are its main themes, drawing on the latest archaeological findings and the abundance of translated ancient tablets, confirming the transmission of myths with slight refinements over millennia, which still infiltrate our social life today. The first novel, “The Making of the Gods,” is set in 5000 BC, when those who emerged from the cave founded the city and civilization of Ugarit and began writing. The second novel, “Tales and Myths,” concludes in 525 BC, when Jews in Babylon were actively composing the Torah, borrowing from ancient myths and fabricating the divine promise and temple-building myth which Jewish archaeologists have yet to find any tangible evidence for. At that time, the Persian army was invading Egypt via Gaza and Sinai. “Descendants of Paul” is the third novel, ending in 192 AD, marking the beginning of Christianity's split from Judaism and a century and a half before agreeing on the gospel's content. This is the East, the birthplace of civilizations, myths, religions, and wars, where each time its people approach enlightenment, they slide back into darkness. In this trilogy, we experience human emotions of love, hatred, and the desire for divine protection, uncover hidden history and the persistence of deception, and witness political manipulation reflected across the ages.
