Another sunny morning. I arrived late at Valor Café. Eleven o'clock in the morning. The café was bustling with patrons, most of whom were elderly. I couldn't find a seat inside, so I headed to the outdoor extension of the café. Facing me were the Micalet Tower and the Cathedral building. A sweating spring. A sky with blotchy skin. Clouds engaged in their mating season. The shadows of passersby in the central square remained as they were. Even my own shadow seemed to be standing nearby. I saw it exchanging a dance-like movement with the shadow of a Valencian palm tree. I sipped a latte from Paula's hand. I opened my iPad and began to examine the drawing I had sketched a month ago. The shadows of the characters I drew hadn't moved. Neither had the objects, the lines, nor the phantoms of the three cartouches. Then suddenly, I saw my face reflected on the screen. It caught my attention. I imagined myself as a new character in the scene. The living bodies seemed to move when they saw me! My God, now there are five of us. In the drawing, there is the officer in charge of the mission, the antiquities employee, the murderer, the victim, and me. What does that mean?
