The Diwan (Don't Ask) includes twenty poems that swing between the moans of pain and the sighs of hope, and move between two embraces: one represented by Eve with all the tenderness and beauty God has bestowed upon her, and another represented by the Earth with all its goodness and safety. In his collection, the poet has documented several other messages in an attempt to rouse the nation to reclaim its lost principles and values, as in the poem 'Hayhat' (Far From It), the culture of striving for construction and reform from which it has deviated, as in the poem 'Ya Nabiyallah Ghibna' (O Prophet of God, We Are Lost), and the aesthetics of its clear Arabic tongue it has lost, as in the poem 'Zagh Al-Lisan' (The Tongue Has Swerved).
