Daqaiq al-Minhaj: The book Al-Minhaj is one of the jurisprudential works that received great attention from Shafi'i scholars. Imam Taj al-Din al-Subki said about it, '...he might change a word from al-Rafi'i's wording, and if a contemplative person examines it, they might critique it, saying: he did not achieve brevity nor convey the intended meaning. Then, upon investigation, we find that he has hit the mark and spoken decisively. What comes from him with such intent is not surprising, for a summarizer may alter the words of the one whose work he summarizes for such a purpose. What is truly amazing is a change that reason attests he intended, and then he hit upon the correct point, and there are examples of this…' This indicates that Imam al-Nawawi based his book Al-Minhaj on the book 'Al-Muharrar' by Imam Abd al-Karim ibn Muhammad al-Rafi'i al-Qazwini. Due to the importance of this book, compilers and authors have taken care to verify and explain it to clarify its fiqh issues. Imam al-Nawawi is one of them, having diligently compiled a book titled Daqaiq al-Minhaj, in which he explained the terms of his work Al-Minhaj, analyzing its subtleties and clarifying the difference between its wording and the wording of its source, 'Al-Muharrar'. As this book had not been presented in a modern, scholarly, and technical manner, Iyad Ahmad al-Ghawj undertook its verification, correcting any missing words. He also added some explanations to both texts, 'Al-Minhaj' and 'Daqaiq al-Minhaj', to help the reader understand the author's intent. In addition, he compiled an introduction that includes a biography of Imam al-Nawawi and another that defines the content of his work.
