Daddy Long Legs, a Japanese animated series adapted from the novel by American author Jean Webster, was produced in 1990 by Nippon Animation as part of the World Masterpiece Theater. It won the award for Outstanding Film by the Japanese Agency for Cultural Affairs for Children in the same year.
