Civilized nations strive to prepare advanced generations that contribute to driving progress and development in their countries and lead the movement of work and production. Nations rise with the minds and arms of their children, as human power is the cornerstone of any progress and development achieved by modern societies. This calls for working on developing the minds and personalities of our children and youth in the Egyptian and Arab societies, which aspire to unprecedented civilizational progress in all fields. Humans are the actors, developers, and producers in various fields.

The field of "Cyberpsychology" is one of the emerging psychological sciences resulting from the digital revolution with all its applications and tools, which have come to occupy the forefront of human interest in the family, at work, and across different classes and ages. Despite the increasing spread of digital applications, the Arab library suffers from a relative scarcity of books on cyberpsychology, or what is called internet psychology. This prompted the author to prepare the current book and present its topics with an educational tint so that our students and youth at all stages can benefit from it, as they are the nation's hope and its precious wealth.

This book covers a number of chapters as follows:

• Chapter One: Presents the field of cyberpsychology: its definition, objectives, phenomena arising from digital use, and related fields.
• Chapter Two: Discusses social relationships online and their characteristics, romantic relationships online, online relationships and social life, social isolation and digital communication, fanaticism in the digital world, volunteering through social networks, and some theories explaining social relationships online.
• Chapter Three: Includes features of the human personality in the digital world. The chapter deals with many basic concepts in the field of personality psychology, starting with the definition of personality, personality factors and similar concepts, the five-factor model of personality and its linguistic and theoretical roots, the factors included in it, and the personality factors of social media addicts.
• Chapter Four: Covers the psychological needs of humans in the digital world, including the definition of psychological needs, the difference between need and some similar concepts, the importance of satisfying psychological needs, theories explaining psychological needs, and the psychological needs of social web network users.
• Chapter Five: Deals with concepts related to social media addiction, the concept of addiction in its general sense, the distinguishing criteria for addictive behavior, and the difference between social media addiction and some other concepts.
• Chapter Six: Titled "Psychological Disorders Arising from the Cyber World," as virtual human interaction through various digital applications has resulted in many negative phenomena that have become clearly evident in many sectors of youth, including internet addiction, compulsive internet use, compulsive online gambling, information overload and endless searching, nomophobia (fear of being without a mobile phone), "fear of missing out" (FOMO) syndrome, selfie disorder, and cyberchondria.
• Chapter Seven: Addresses the phenomenon of bullying behavior in daily life, the definition of cyberbullying, traditional bullying versus cyberbullying, the causes of cyberbullying, theories explaining bullying behavior, and managing cyber risks to confront bullying and piracy.
• Chapter Eight: Discusses cybercrimes, their concept, types, methods, and their psychological and social effects.
• Chapter Nine: Covers the definition of citizenship, the basic pillars of a citizenship culture, the dimensions of digital citizenship, the standards of digital citizenship, digital citizenship and belonging behavior, and digital ethics.
• Chapter Ten: Discusses the nature of online psychological counseling, the classification of online psychological counseling, the advantages of electronic psychological counseling, the experience of the hotline for addiction patients, support groups through digital applications, digital psychological counseling in times of crisis (the Corona pandemic as a model), and psychological counseling in perspective.
• Chapter Eleven: Addresses digital education and educational systems, the expansion of e-learning, the positive use of social networking sites, artificial intelligence in the field of education, and strategies for achieving cybersecurity.
• Chapter Twelve: Includes the concept of cybersecurity experts, cyber wars, and the Internet of Things (IoT) and its benefits in the fields of education, health, and smart homes and cities.
