This book consists of two sections: the first being Cultural Oppositions and the second Cultural Debates. The texts of the first section were written in the cultural pages of several Lebanese and Arab newspapers. At the time, the intention of the title was explained, which is to observe conflicting 'cultural phenomena', describe, and critique them from a perspective that believes a critic has the right to express their opinion freely and objectively, just as others have the same right.
The texts of the second section were written in response to writings that targeted some of my works with defamation and bias. Thus, an objective response was made to these writers, engaging in debates with them and with those affiliated with their circles. In both sections, criticism is presented, which could serve as a model of literary or cultural criticism that has been known in the recent history of our criticism.
