The conference and exhibition industry has developed significantly in recent years, reaching a high level of sophistication with thousands of specialists contributing in their respective fields. The conference industry has specific characteristics: some establishments may handle the entire process of conference preparation, while others may execute a single sector of conference services, such as providing meals for participants.
Conferences are considered one of the vital phenomena of the modern era, serving as clear evidence of effective communication between different entities, whether on a small scale (micro-system) or a larger one, as is the case with national conferences within a single country or even at the international level.
Conferences are a manifestation of true democracy, as they facilitate direct communication between the public and their leaders, fostering political awareness among the masses and giving them the opportunity to participate in making important decisions related to their interests.
Conferences also play a clear role as an ideal means of persuasive communication. Through them, an individual or a delegation can create a positive impact or impression about what they wish to present to others. They combine communication with face-to-face interaction, which is perhaps the most important feature of this communication method, alongside the advantage of a large audience, the ability to record research and speeches, and the use of modern audio and visual aids that enhance persuasion, such as images, cinematic displays, television, and slides.
Until recently, the process of organizing conferences relied primarily on the efficiency of those in charge and was subject to trial and error. However, with the advancement of sciences and the introduction of many modern technological means, it has become possible to create a clear, specific program for the proper preparation of conferences and various events such as meetings, seminars, and exhibitions.
