This study compares the poetry of Al-A'sha Al-Kabir (the musician of the Arabs in the pre-Islamic era) and Abu Nuwas (the pioneer of innovation in the Abbasid era), focusing on the continuity and transformation in Arabic poetry, particularly in the art of wine poetry at which both excelled.
