This book consists of seven chapters, as follows:

We explain the reasons behind this chapter's name and establish a philosophical framework from which the author presents his educational vision on children's literature. This enables those dealing with children, especially teachers and parents, to achieve the desired objectives for children during a critical stage of human development. We then discuss the importance of childhood as a stage for developing abilities, nurturing talents, and shaping future directions.
• Chapter Two: Children's Literature: Questions Posed by Practice. We present a set of guidelines that ground children's literature and help users achieve its intended goals. The current reality of teaching or presenting literature to children—whether in kindergartens, schools, homes, or the media—raises many questions that we will answer in this chapter.
• Chapter Three: The Arts, Fields, and Teaching of Children's Literature. We introduce the varied and diverse fields of writing for children. We discuss types of children's literature, including divine and prophetic literature, poetry and songs, and methods for teaching them. • Chapter Four: The Role of Various Institutions in Guiding and Encouraging Children's Literature. We examine the educational and community institutions that a child interacts with, directly or indirectly, to clarify their role in guiding and promoting children's literature. We discuss the family, the school, and the various media outlets.
• Chapter Five: Media and Carriers of Children's Literature. We explore some of these media, discussing audio-visual devices in children's literature, their positive and negative effects, and children's theater—its importance, concept, and origins. We also cover children's literary books, their status among other literature carriers, and the criteria for good children's books.
• Chapter Six: Issues and Problems in Children's Literature. We address several issues related to children's literature, such as the child's relationship with language, language acquisition, the relationship between language, thinking, and creativity, and the role of imagination. We also discuss problems like the concept of children's literature, the place of children in society, and the blend of tradition and modernity in literary works.
• Chapter Seven: Models of Literary Arts for Children: Analysis and Evaluation.
