Bustan al-Muhaddithin fi Bayan Kutub al-Hadith (The Orchard of the Hadith Scholars in Explaining the Books of Hadith)

Imam al-Dahlawi, the author of this book, was a rare figure of his time, a brilliant scholar, and one of the great verifying authors. He authored a large collection of fatwas, and his book "Tuhfat al-Ithnay Ashariyyah" (A Gift to the Twelvers), a refutation of the Shia, is a work of unparalleled nature. He also wrote "Al-'Ujalah al-Nafi'ah" (The Beneficial Haste) in Persian on the principles of Hadith.

His book, "Bustan al-Hadith" (The Orchard of Hadith), which he originally wrote in Persian, is like a valuable scholarly memorandum that introduces the imams of Hadith, their books, and their compositions. It was part of the curriculum in the Hadith department at Nadwat al-Ulama. Due to its importance, Abu al-Hasan Ali al-Husayni al-Nadwi undertook its translation from Persian to Arabic, adding commentary and supplementary chapters to present it in a more complete and comprehensive form.
