About the Book

Minds and wills have long been torn between two different paths, led through the walks of life by two divergent approaches. People of understanding, after various difficult trials, have always concluded the necessity of deciding their course and clarifying their direction, as the poet Ibn al-Rumi says: "Before you, look and see which of your two paths you will take; two separate roads, one straight and one crooked." For there is no doubt that the blind and the seeing are not equal in seeking paths, nor are those who know and those who do not know. We, at the outset of this international conference—which represents an open awareness to the reality of the nation and the world—must declare our enlightened alignment with the righteous approach of cultivating the earth and achieving a human and civilizational presence within it, not the path of destruction and ruin championed by the ignorant and extremists, in which the deluded, the arrogant, and all of Satan's soldiers indulge.
