I have an overwhelming urge to cry, to escape from the roadside and become an unknown, or something without meaning. What does it mean for a bird to rest upon a scarecrow without fear? Has it conquered its fear of appearances, or realized that nothing can stop it as long as its wings are ready? Does this bird know we have no wings and fear even our own shadows nearby? What does it mean to rest in a heart that has taken everything from you, leaving you broken, alone, and with great losses?
