Not just the head of Al-Hussein, the master of the youth of Paradise, but also the head of the man returning from the Gulf to his wife's embrace after ten years of toil, the head of the boy who watched the bread riots in Cairo, a head undergoing repair and maintenance, the head of the Sphinx fleeing its lair, and the head of the Egyptian communist militant Shahdi Atiya al-Shafi'i, who was tortured to death. While it is impossible to summarize a novel, the foregoing are merely brief hints of a literary adventure that intertwines the journeys of heads whose time for harvest had not yet come, but were assassinated treacherously and in cold blood.
