The book 'Arabism of Scholars Associated with Non-Arab Countries' is authored by Abu Rajaa Naji Ma'ruf Abdul Razzaq Al-Ubaidi Al-Azami. He is an Iraqi historian who studied history at Baghdad University and has written several books on the subject. He is a member of the Iraqi Scientific Academy. Al-Ubaidi belongs to the Al-Obaid tribe, a Zubaydi-Qahtani-Himyarite Arab tribe, and most of the residents of the Adhamiya district in Baghdad are from this tribe. He is the brother of Awad Ma'ruf and Ahmed Ma'ruf, the father of Khaldoun Naji Ma'ruf, and uncle of Bashar Awad Ma'ruf.
