The Omani novel began simply and with limited attempts in the 1970s. Like any new literary genre, it faced technical obstacles initially. Writing requires continuous practice and proficiency, like all literary forms.

Due to the accumulation of novels, especially in recent years, and the diversity and variety of expressions, we focused on studying the Omani novel. Specialized scientific studies have not addressed it until the preparation of this study.

We tried to base our study on this limited text collection, using the narrator as a tool to explore Omani novels. The study was structured into three parts: "Narrators in Omani Novels", "Functions and References of Narrators", and "Images of the Narrated and Their Transformations".

We hope to have succeeded to some extent in highlighting works of significant importance in modern Omani literature.
