Through her texts, the storyteller portrays the Omani popular environment with the spontaneity of the folk narrative style, a style she seems to be passionately attached to. This is evident in her borrowing of vocabulary from the spoken dialect and her choice of themes connected to this narrative-rich environment. In most of her stories, the writer chooses her snapshots from daily life, weaving them with a realism that reveals their beautiful ironies, specifically in her adventures of recapturing childhood moments through the current approaches of the story's characters. At times, she resorts to portraying the story's characters in a caricatured manner that adds humor to the tale, which contains many of the contradictions that also characterize folk tales with exaggerated descriptions of character features.
