How short this scene is, and how long this dark night that perhaps began at birth, a long, long time ago. Suddenly, a powerful thunderclap sounded, its flashing lights dispelling the darkness, followed by intermittent thunder that seemed endless. The corners of the small house trembled. He relaxed his body and facial muscles, widening his eyes to discover what lurked behind the window, in the heart of this silence as loud as a slain victim. He couldn't distinguish anything, only hearing harsh, rapid taps on his windowpane. He tried to move his body, but it was as stiff as a dry trunk. He relaxed his shoulders, moved his head backward, then forward and to both sides. Let us love life as it is, filled with screams and clamor. Silence and tranquility, sadness and joy, calm and anger. Let us stand and shout loudly in the heart of roaring whirlpools laden with fatigue and pain. Let us run across its small spaces, carrying pens, drawing letters, words, images, and shapes of plains and mountains, seas and blue skies, making them places for play and fun. The spans of life are short, passing over the earth like meteors, disappearing into the darkness of the night, and in the heart of the night, a new day crawls.
