Mishkat al-Masabih, compiled by Imam al-Baghawi, organizes the Prophet's sayings into categories of jurisprudence, beliefs, and ethics without mentioning the companion, the chain, or the book from which the hadith was taken. Al-Tabrizi completed it by adding the names of companions and books, as well as additional sayings, and called it Mishkat al-Masabih. It has been explained by many scholars, with Al-Tibi's commentary being among the most detailed. It clarifies unusual words, addresses problematic phrases, reviews scholarly interpretations derived from the hadith, and includes subtleties and doctrinal points. A volume with detailed indexes of the hadiths accompanies the book.
