A committee for Al-Mu'jam Al-Wasit (The Intermediate Dictionary) was formed by senior linguists at the academy, who quickly established its methodology and outlined its main features. In 1936, the Ministry of Education requested the academy to produce this dictionary in the best modern form, ensuring it was well-organized and clearly styled. The dictionary includes approximately 30,000 words and six hundred illustrations.
