This important and unique book, 'Al-Duroos Al-Nahwiyyah' (The Grammatical Lessons), is prepared by a group of Arabic language scholars. It consists of four books. The first contains the essential principles of grammar, in which the authors preferred to use simple examples and rules rather than exhaustive, all-encompassing definitions. They limited the discussion to the principles of explicit declension, not touching upon estimated or local declension except briefly, and did not discuss all the secondary signs, so as not to confuse the student. After completing this book, they can proceed to the second book, which includes the content of the first with additions and expanded topics, giving the explanation some of its due. Then the third, which also includes the content of the second with additions and completes what needs to be completed, followed by the fourth book. This means that the book in our hands progresses in a graded manner suitable for the student or learner.
