The encyclopedic nature of this study, as indicated by its title, delves into the general significance of the encyclopedic idea, which is founded on the concept of 'totality'—meaning comprehensiveness, integration, and a bold, adventurous exploration into both the periphery and the core of its subject. We believe this study examines dozens of biographical discourses that are astonishingly diverse and open to further interpretations. It presents a vision that claims a suitable degree of completeness in covering the various texts we had access to. Some of these texts explicitly declare their genre as biography (especially autobiography), while others conceal or neglect this affiliation. Overall, we aimed to construct an encyclopedic study that involves examining, inspecting, researching, and analyzing this vast collection of texts. The goal is to provide a book that answers many questions about biographical discourse and encourages scholars to use it as a starting point for further research, study, and investigation, whether within our framework or through other perspectives, thereby laying a solid and comprehensive foundation for an integrated understanding of the artistic, aesthetic, and cultural dimensions of biographical discourse.
