This book contributes to enriching the intellectual efforts of educators in the field of teaching and learning at a time of increasing challenges and accelerating information technology. Learning is no longer confined within classrooms, nor is the content of books sufficient to be stored in minds. Listening and attentiveness within school walls are no longer enough for an education that must keep pace with the rapid growth of knowledge and the updating of information according to the latest technologies and in line with all new developments.
It has become necessary to go out into nature and laboratories for experimentation, contemplation, reflection, and interaction through the exploration of materials and rocks. All of this requires will, challenge, and participation to catch up with progress and build minds. The challenges we face and those awaiting our children necessitate a re-evaluation of the entire education system, starting from educational goals and their relevance to meeting societal needs. This is especially true now, as society is affected by global events and the intense competition, from whose negative effects—such as the violence we experience daily and see on satellite channels and media—we are not immune. At the same time, we are required to provide an education that instills security and peace in the hearts of the youth.
In light of what all educational policies call for—achieving citizenship, belonging, and justice—we find ourselves required to provide everything that helps parents motivate self-driven learning with enthusiasm and dynamism to keep up with the pace of life productively and effectively. Therefore, we need a value-based charter that permeates children's educational activities and adults' cultural curricula in a way that ensures lifelong learning, within the framework of societal culture and identity preservation. We are preparing our children for an early confrontation with the challenges and difficulties they will face, which will undoubtedly train them to hone their abilities and develop their skills in harmony with the changing demands of society and life's necessities.
In light of all this, we need active learning. Active learning ensures engagement and immersion in what is being learned because it is linked to the learners' interests and desires. It employs creative, cooperative, and exploratory strategies that allow them to develop through different educational stages, becoming capable of making their own decisions. This is achieved through training with positive teachers. A positive teacher is an active one who is not content with the knowledge gained during university education alone but is keen on lifelong learning, stays updated with current events, and is capable of using this knowledge optimally to achieve interaction and ensure the development of well-rounded personalities in learners. Such a teacher excels at partnering with families to develop an educational progress plan for the children, contributing to highlighting the gifted and distinguished among them. They are the ones who understand with their heart and see with their mind and conscience the extent to which their participation contributes to shaping the future of a nation and the entity of a society. Only then will the voice of giving rise, and the charter of dedication advance in the sanctuary of a love for work with clarity and commitment. Within a regional framework, this confirms participation in producing a conscious generation that carries on its shoulders the responsibility for the nation's progress, human prosperity, and the achievement of inner peace and national stability.
