The book 'Abu Bakr Al-Siddiq: His Personality and Era' by Ali Muhammad Al-Sallabi is a biography encyclopedia. The last words uttered by Al-Siddiq in this world were God's words: 'Let me die a Muslim and join me with the righteous.' May God be pleased with him. The city was shaken by Abu Bakr Al-Siddiq's passing, and it hadn’t witnessed a more tearful day since the Prophet's death. Ali bin Abi Talib hurried in tears, recalling, and stood at Abu Bakr’s house, saying: 'May God have mercy on you, Abu Bakr. You were the Prophet’s confidant, companion, and place of rest. You were the first to embrace Islam, the most faithful, the strongest in belief, the most cautious of God, the greatest in contributing to His religion, the wisest towards the Prophet, the most dedicated to Islam, the best companion, the most meritorious, the highest in rank, and closest to the Prophet. You were the most similar in guidance and character, and held the highest place. God named you 'Siddiq' in His revelation: 'And the one who brings the truth and the one who confirms it are the righteous.' You stood by him passionately when others held back, supported him in difficulties when others hesitated, accompanied him in hardship as the second in the cave and the one upon whom tranquility was sent, his companion during the migration, and his successor in religion and community. You led the transition well when others retracted, took up the responsibility when others faltered, were prominent when others were subdued, showed strength when others weakened, and adhered to the Prophet's path when others wavered. As the Prophet said, you were physically weak but strong in God's commands, humble in yourself, noble before God, respected in people’s eyes, esteemed in themselves, with no one having any means against you or a tongue to criticize, with no creature enjoying leniency except the weak whom you empowered to give them their rights. Close and distant were equal to you in this, with the nearest to you being the most obedient to God and the most pious.
