"A Thousand Days in a Solitary Confinement Cell" is presented by journalist Zahi Wahbi. In the book's introduction, Zahi Wahbi says: "In this book, which comes to us from behind iron bars to illuminate the darkness of the cell with its ink, Barghouti—who is still in his prison—recounts his experience in solitary confinement from 2002 to 2005. He presents the testimony of an exceptional activist who spent most of his life on the front lines, not content with theorizing or inciting resistance but actively participating in the daily struggle against the occupation alongside his people. He practiced resistance in all its forms and experienced arrest, interrogation, and exile before 'returning' once again to a solitary confinement cell (...)".

In this book, we will read astonishing truths that expose the falsehood of Zionist claims and unveil the brutality of the Israelis and their Nazi-like nature, evident in the actions of their occupation officers and soldiers against prisoners and detainees, as well as their methods of torture and their clear hatred for Arabs and Muslims.

Barghouti says: "I had a conviction and faith in our people's ability to persevere and achieve national independence. This conviction and faith have not wavered for a single moment in my life. The years of isolation only strengthened this belief: that our people have made an irreversible historic decision to end the slavery of occupation, to be emancipated, and to achieve freedom, return, and independence. I was and still am a believer that Israel can defeat a regular army or a state in the region (...) but it cannot, no matter how powerful, conquer or defeat the will of a great people determined to resist (...)".

The book includes an introduction by Zahi Wahbi titled "The Promise of the Free... and Freedom." This is followed by seven chapters with the following titles: The Confrontation, The Kingdom of the Unknown and the Hidden War, The Trial, Solitary Confinement, My Life in a Solitary Confinement Cell, Guardian of My Dream, The Clash with the Israeli Intelligence Agency and its Collaborating Tools, and finally: History is a Witness.
