Just as water not only nurtures plants but also weeds, we must engage in self-critique of our thinking, shedding light on the functions of the mind and its ambiguities to achieve the clearest thinking and the most sound judgments possible. I believe that cleansing our thought processes from as many poor intellectual habits as possible should precede equipping our minds with correct thinking methods and cultural principles.
