Administrative law falls under the umbrella of public law. It is a set of legal rules that govern the state's administration in terms of its formation, activities, and control mechanisms. Accordingly, the most important topics of administrative law taught to law school students are the nature of administrative law, administrative organization, administrative activity, public service, and the means of public administration—whether legal (administrative decisions and contracts) or material (public funds)—in addition to the oversight of administrative actions, which is usually addressed in separate works under the title of administrative judiciary.

After teaching administrative law for several years at the Faculty of Law at Mutah University and other Jordanian universities, and after successfully publishing two specialized works in the field (Administrative Law - Book One and Administrative Law - Book Two), the author found it necessary to present this concise work on the topics of administrative law detailed in the aforementioned publications, to facilitate learning for students and researchers in the field.
