About the Author

Farhad Daftary joined the Institute of Ismaili Studies in London in 1988. He is the Co-Director of the Institute and has served as the Head of the Department of Academic Research and Publications since 1992. His publications with Dar al-Saqi include "The Ismailis: Their History and Doctrines," "A Modern History of the Ismailis," "Intellectual Traditions in Islam," and "Ismailis in Medieval Muslim Societies."
